Atieh S Jibbe, MD

Atieh Jibbe, MD, is a Mohs and cosmetic surgeon at The University of Kansas Health System and an assistant professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She specializes in the treatment of melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancer in all patients and takes a special interest in treating immunosuppressed patients, such as people who have received a transplant. She also takes a special interest in cosmetic procedures, such as facial cosmetic surgery and reconstruction, laser surgery, Botox, fillers and scar revision.

Dr. Jibbe was born in Kansas and received her undergraduate degree at Wichita State University in only 3 years before attending the University of Kansas Medical School. There, she completed her dermatology residency then joined as a general dermatologist at The University of Kansas Health System. A year later, her love of surgery took her to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for a year. There, she completed a Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic oncology and cosmetic surgery fellowship. She then returned to The University of Kansas Health System to practice as a Mohs and cosmetic surgeon. She was named the associate director of Mohs micrographic surgery as well as the director of cosmetic and laser surgery of the dermatology program, for which she is building a cosmetic division.

Dr. Jibbe has written several peer-reviewed articles in the field of dermatology and Mohs surgery. As a faculty member, she participates in the education of residents and medical students in the clinical management and surgical procedures associated with Mohs and cosmetic surgery. For example, she hosts a Skin of Color Conference for medical students in Kansas City every year.
