About Elizabeth M Wulff

Dr. Elizabeth Wulff-Burchfield is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subcertifications in medical oncology and hospice and palliative medicine. She completed a fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from Duke University and completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She believes that the aim of cancer treatment is to help patients’ live their best lives, a concept that every patient must define for him or herself. This mandates that cancer care be individualized based on every patient’s goals and beliefs, with guidance from the most robust data that can be applied to each patient and diagnoses. She believes that the relationship between provider and patients is the basis for all shared decision making, and she strives to strike the optimal balance of comprehensive and compassionate disclosure of information to foster this relationship and create a foundation from which she and the patient can navigate cancer treatment together.
