Joseph G Bennett, MD

Dr. Joseph Bennett is a hematologist and oncologist who specializes exclusively in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of lymphoma. He is deeply committed to guiding patients and families through every stage of their care with expertise, compassion and individualized attention.

His clinical focus includes all types of lymphoid malignancies, such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), CNS lymphoma, marginal zone lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and T-cell lymphomas – along with other rare and complex hematologic cancers.

Believing that every patient deserves access to the latest advances in care, Dr. Bennett is passionate about integrating clinical trials into both academic and community practice. He frequently provides second opinions for complex cases, working closely with referring physicians to ensure collaborative, seamless care.

Above all, Dr. Bennett strives to care for the whole person, addressing not only the physical aspects of cancer, but also the emotional, psychological and spiritual needs that accompany a lymphoma diagnosis. His goal is to bring clarity, hope and compassion to every patient encounter.

Dr. Bennett completed his medical training at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine through the accelerated 6-year BA/MD program, followed by residency and fellowship at The University of Kansas Cancer Center.

Dr. Bennett’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, addressing advanced topics in lymphoma management, including refractory disease, cellular therapy and supportive care. His work has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Richard Garcia Award, the Excellence in Residency Award, and the Laxmidas A. Sawkar Geriatric Oncology Fellowship Research Award.
