Dr. Marc Hoffmann is a board-certified hematologist and oncologist. He is the director of the lymphoma program and medical director of lean in quality improvement at The University of Kansas Cancer Center.
He is passionate about the clinical development of novel therapies for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (LLC) and lymphoma. He serves as the principal investigator on multiple clinical trials, including several studies of first-in-human compounds. In addition to his clinical and research duties, he provides physician leadership for lean and quality improvement projects in the cancer center.
Dr. Hoffmann graduated magna cum laude with a degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University and went on to medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Prior to medical school, he served in the United States Peace Corps in Guinea, West Africa, where he taught mathematics and led reforestation projects.
When not working, he enjoys weight training, playing golf and any activities with his wife and children. He is fluent in French and Spanish.
